Introduction: 500 years ago, a young and powerful priestess guarded a sacred jewel which game amazing powers to whoever possessed it. This young priestess went by the name of Kikyou. One day, a half-demon named Inuyasha stole the sacred jewel. As he escaped, Kikyou shot one of her sacred arrows and pinned him to a tree where he will remain sealed forever. Soon after, Kikyou dies and her body is cremated with the sacred jewel. 500 years later, Kikyou was reincarnated into Kagome Higurashi. Kagome is a regular school girl with a regular school life. She lives in an old temple which is managed by her grandfather. One day, Kagome was pulled into a scared well by a demon and was teleported into the pass. After being pulled into the well, she meets Kaede (Kikyou's sister) and accidently releases Inuyasha from his everlasting sleep. As well, she accidently shatters the jewel into million of pieces after trying to obtain it back from a giant bird demon. Now, Kagome and Inuyasha has to work together in order to retrieve the jewel shards before dark forces obtains it and destroys the world. In my opinion, Inuyasha was an ok anime. Inuyasha was pretty good until it hit the fillers, then I just stopped watching it. I really like the story line because it was unique compared to a lot of other anime. This was probably one of the first anime that I watched which contained fantasy and demonic creatures. If your into sword action, and fighting then this anime would probably suits you. It does contain a lot of blood from wounds as the story unfolds. |
