Introduction: As Daiskue Niwa turns 14, he learns about his family heritage. He discovers that the Niwa generation (only the male) have used Dar's, the Great Phantom Thief, powers for 300 years to carry out dangerous missions. Each mission requires for Daiskue/Dark to retrieve sacred items which may bring danger into the world. His main objective would be to recover the "Sacred Maiden" in order to stop his transformation. As his fate unlocks, he will face his old rival, Krad, and discovers his true Holy Maiden. This was one of the earlier anime that I started to watch and I loved it. It had a taste of school life with some action, fantasy, romance and a bit of comedy by our protagonist, Daisuke Niwa. I recommend everybody to watch DN Angel, but I believe it's better suited for young girls because it contained a lot of romance which they would like. This is just my opinion, but as I researched on this anime/manga history; I read from Wikipedia that DN Angel is a shojo manga. (Which means, the manga is targeted for young girls. So my assumption was right)
